그러나 2025년 기준 한국의 난민인정률은 고작 1.45%입니다. 난민들은 박해를 피해 온 나라로 돌아갈 수 없고, 비호를 요청한 한국에서는 체류 자격을 주지 않는 기막힌 현실 앞에 놓여 있습니다.

⛺️ Worldwide, the number of people who have been forced to flee their homes due to war, natural disasters and other causes stands at 123.2 million. In South Korea, too, the number of asylum applications has been steadily rising, reaching around 18,000 per year.
However, as of 2025, South Korea’s refugee recognition rate stands at a mere 1.45 per cent. Refugees find themselves faced with the appalling reality that they cannot return to the countries from which they fled persecution, yet are denied residency status in South Korea, the very country where they sought asylum.

오늘 우리는 서울에서 세계 난민의 날을 맞이하며 불의에 맞서 진실의 목소리를 내고자 합니다. 전 세계가 지켜보는 앞에서 학살당하고, 쫓겨나고, 봉쇄당하고 있는 사람들을 위해 목소리를 내고자 합니다.
저는 이집트 출신의 정치 난민입니다. 인간이 고향을 떠나도록 강요받는다는 것이 무엇인지, 그 두려움과 기다림, 그리고 안전을 구하는 일이 제 자신뿐만 아니라 제 가족과 가정에게 얼마나 쓰라린 일인지 잘 알고 있습니다. 하지만 현재 가자지구 주민들이 겪는 것은 그 어떤 말로도 표현할 수 없으며 인간이 버텨낼 수 있는 한계를 넘어섰습니다.
아이들이 잔해 밑에서 죽어가고 있는데, 세계는 어떻게 이렇게 침묵할 수 있습니까?
학살과 봉쇄 그리고 굶주림을 무기로 삼는 정책이 어떻게 책임규명 없이 계속될 수 있습니까?
어떻게 인간의 기본적 권리인 생명권이 일회성의 뉴스가 되며, 어떻게 피해자들이 통계수치로만 여겨질 수 있습니까?
우리는 이 자리에서 분명하고 가장 큰 목소리로 외칩니다.

귀환권은 단순한 구호가 아니며 소멸하지 않는 법적, 인도적, 역사적 권리입니다.
팔레스타인은 단순히 난민 문제가 아니라 수십 년 동안 그들의 영토와 자유와 권리를 박탈당한 사람들의 문제입니다.
오늘 우리는 세계 각국 정부와 국제기구를 향해 말합니다.
인권이라는 것이 텅 빈 구호가 아니라 진실이라면, 그렇다면 지금이 진실을 시험할 때입니다.
국제법이 진정 가치가 있는 것이라면 이중잣대가 적용되지 않아야 합니다.
세계의 아이들의 생명이 평등하다면 가자의 아이들을 왜 폭격과 굶주림 속에 내버려 두는 것입니까?
여성 인권에 대한 것이 국제적인 사안이라면 팔레스타인 여성과 이들이 겪는 고통 속에 세계는 어디에 있는 것입니까?
이곳 한국에서 우리는 팔레스타인들과의 전폭적이고 굳건한 연대를 할 것을 선언합니다.

Hello, fellow citizens of freedom,
Today, on World Refugee Day, we gather here in Seoul to raise our voices for truth in the face of injustice. We speak out for those who are being killed, displaced, and besieged before the eyes of the entire world.
I am a political refugee from Egypt. I know what it means to be forced to leave one’s homeland. I know the bitterness of fear, uncertainty, and the search for safety—not only for myself, but for my family as well. Yet what the people of Gaza are enduring today defies description and surpasses the limits of human endurance.
How can the world remain silent while children die beneath the rubble?
How can massacres, blockades, and policies that use starvation as a weapon continue without accountability?
How can the fundamental human right to life become merely a passing news story? How can victims be reduced to nothing more than statistics?
Today, we raise our voices loudly and clearly:
Stop the genocide in Gaza!
Stop the war against civilians!
End the blockade and the policy of collective starvation!
We also say this:
The right of return is not merely a slogan. It is a legal, humanitarian, and historical right that cannot be erased.
Palestine is not simply a refugee issue. It is the issue of a people who have been deprived of their land, freedom, and rights for decades.
Today, we address governments and international organizations around the world:
If human rights are more than empty words, then this is the moment to prove it.
If international law truly has value, then it must be applied without double standards.
If the lives of all children are equal, why are the children of Gaza being left alone under bombardment and starvation?
If women’s rights are a global concern, then where is the world when Palestinian women are suffering?
Here in South Korea, we declare our unwavering and wholehearted solidarity with the Palestinian people.
And to the people of Gaza, we say:
You are not alone.
Your voices and the injustice you endure will reach every corner of the earth.
Your steadfast resistance inspires people of conscience and freedom across the world.
And to the world, we declare:
We will not remain silent in the face of injustice.
We will not remain silent in the face of the killing of innocent people.
We will not remain silent in the face of the displacement of people from their homeland.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
أيها الأحرار…
نقف اليوم هنا في سيول، في اليوم العالمي للاجئين، لنقول كلمة حق في وجه الظلم، ولنرفع أصواتنا من أجل شعب يُقتل ويُهجّر ويُحاصر أمام أعين العالم.
أنا لاجئ سياسي مصري، أعرف تماماً معنى أن يُجبر الإنسان على مغادرة وطنه، وأعرف مرارة الخوف والانتظار والبحث عن الأمان—ليس لنفسي فقط، بل لعائلتي وأسرتي. لكن، ما يعيشه أهل غزة اليوم يفوق كل وصف، ويتجاوز كل حدود الاحتمال البشري.
كيف يمكن للعالم أن يقف صامتًا بينما يُقتل الأطفال تحت الأنقاض؟ كيف يمكن أن تستمر المجازر والحصار وسياسة التجويع دون محاسبة؟ كيف يمكن أن يتحول حق الإنسان الأساسي في الحياة إلى مجرد خبر عابر، وأن يُنظر إلى الضحايا وكأنهم مجرد أرقام في إحصائيات؟
نحن هنا لنقول بوضوح وبأعلى صوت:
أوقفوا إبادة غزة!
أوقفوا الحرب على المدنيين!
أوقفوا سياسة الحصار والتجويع الجماعي!
ونقول أيضًا:
إن حق العودة ليس مجرد شعار، بل هو حق قانوني وإنساني وتاريخي لا يسقط بالتقادم. إن فلسطين ليست مجرد قضية لاجئين، بل هي قضية شعب حُرم من أرضه وحريته وحقوقه لعقود طويلة.
نتوجه اليوم إلى الحكومات والمنظمات الدولية ونقول لهم: إذا كانت “حقوق الإنسان” حقيقة وليست مجرد شعارات خاوية، فهذا هو وقت الاختبار الحقيقي. إذا كان للقانون الدولي قيمة، فهذا هو وقت تطبيقه دون كيل بمكيالين. إذا كانت حياة الأطفال متساوية في هذا العالم، فلماذا يُترك أطفال غزة وحدهم تحت القصف والجوع؟ وإذا كانت حقوق المرأة قضية عالمية، فأين العالم من نساء فلسطين وما يتعرضن له؟
ومن هنا، من كوريا الجنوبية، نعلن تضامننا الكامل والملتزم مع الشعب الفلسطيني. ونقول لأهلنا في غزة: لستم وحدكم. أصواتكم ومظلوميتكم تصل إلى كل مكان في الأرض، وصمودكم الأسطوري يلهم الأحرار في كل أنحاء العالم.
ونقول للعالم أجمع:
لن نصمت أمام الظلم… لن نصمت أمام قتل الأبرياء… ولن نصمت أمام تهجير الشعوب من أرضها.
