이스라엘은 레바논에 대한 폭격을 멈추지 않았습니다. 치명적인 공격이 계속되고 있고, 이스라엘은 레바논 남부의 주민들 대한 강제 이주를 계속 명령하고 있습니다. 지금까지 레바논인 사망자는 3,400여 명, 부상자도 1만 명이 넘습니다.
이스라엘이 레바논을 공격하고 점령하고 있으므로 휴전안은 이스라엘군의 철수와 공격 중단, 피란민들의 귀환이 당연히 이뤄져야 마땅합니다. 그러나 휴전은 이스라엘에 대한 공격 중단을 의미할 뿐이고, 레바논인들의 저항은 인정하지 않고 있습니다.
이와 같은 상황에서 레바논인 학자∙활동가 라니아 하페즈 님이 한국의 ‘팔레스타인인들과 연대하는 사람들’에 연대의 글을 보내왔습니다. 이 글은 2026년 6월 6일 서울에서 열린 128차 집회에서 소개되었습니다.
지금쯤 우리가 가자지구의 재건을 논의하려 모였기를 진심으로 바랐습니다. 가자지구에서 이어지는 기아와 학살에 항의하고자 이 자리에 서게 될 줄은 미처 몰랐습니다.
그러나 우리는 지금 가자지구뿐만 아니라 서안지구에서 벌어지는 포그롬(대학살), 그리고 제 조국 레바논을 향한 이스라엘의 인종학살적 공격에 맞서 함께 목소리를 높이고 있습니다.
동지 여러분,
오늘 저는 우리 민족이 겪는 참상을 전하고자 이 자리에 선 것이 아닙니다. 레바논 남부의 마을과 공동체가 통째로 사라지는 현실, 의료진과 언론인, 병원과 학교, 교회가 공격받는 현실, 수천 명의 민간인이 무차별 학살당하는 현실을 굳이 설명할 필요는 없습니다. 여러분은 이미 시오니스트들의 만행과 부패한 정권들이 어떻게 그들의 범죄를 방조하고 지원했는지 잘 알고 있기 때문입니다.
우리의 투쟁은 단지 팔레스타인과 레바논만을 위한 싸움이 아닙니다. 정의와 자유, 진실, 그리고 전 세계 모든 이의 인권을 지키기 위한 인류 공동의 투쟁입니다.
우리의 적은 단지 시오니즘에 국한되지 않습니다. 소수의 이익을 위해 인간과 자원을 착취하는 세계 자본주의 체제야말로 우리의 적입니다. 나아가 그 체제를 떠받치며 착취와 예속, 환경 파괴 외에는 대안이 없다고 강요하는 국제 제도의 그물망 역시 우리가 맞서야 할 대상입니다.
분명히 말씀드립니다. 우리는 세계 자본이 초래한 죽음과 파괴를 넘어설 대안을 반드시 만들어 내야 하며, 또 만들어 낼 것입니다.
가자지구는 우리를 일깨운 경종이었습니다. 레바논과 수단, 콩고 역시 마찬가지입니다. 이 나라들에서 동지들이 치른 고귀한 희생은 우리가 반드시 갚아야 할 부채입니다.
인티파다는 팔레스타인에서 시작됐습니다. 그러나 이제는 세계적인 운동이 돼야 합니다. 우리는 세계 지배 엘리트들이 우리의 삶을 식민화하고 파괴하는 것에 맞서 연대해 싸워야 합니다.
레바논, 팔레스타인, 이란, 콩고, 수단에 자유를! 전 세계에 자유를!
srael has not stopped bombing Lebanon. Deadly attacks continue, and Israel continues to order the forced displacement of residents in southern Lebanon. To date, more than 3,400 Lebanese have been killed, and over 10,000 have been injured.
Since Israel is attacking and occupying Lebanon, any ceasefire agreement should naturally entail the withdrawal of Israeli forces, an end to attacks, and the return of displaced people. However, the ceasefire has come to mean only a cessation of attacks against Israel, while denying the legitimacy of Lebanese resistance.
Under these circumstances, Lebanese scholar and activist Rania Hafez sent a message of solidarity to ‘People in Solidarity with Palestinians’ in South Korea. This message was shared at the 128th rally held in Seoul on June 6, 2026.
I was sincerely hoping that by now we would be meeting to discuss rebuilding Gaza not protesting its continued starvation and genocide.
Instead, here we are protesting not only Gaza, but also the pogroms in the West Bank, and israel’s genocidal attacks on my beloved homeland Lebanon.
Comrades, today my message to you will not be about the horrors inflicted on my people. I don’t need to tell you about the erasure of whole villages and communities in South Lebanon; about the targeting of medics, of journalists, of hospitals, schools, and churches; about the indiscriminate killing of thousands of civilians; you already know what the zionists are doing and the way corrupt regimes have supported them in committing their crimes.
Our fight is not just about Palestine and Lebanon. Our fight is a global struggle for justice, for liberty, for truth, for human rights for all of us across the world.
The enemy is not just zionism; the enemy is a global capitalist system built on the exploitation of people and resources for the benefit of the few; a system supported by a web of global institutions telling us “There is No Alternative” to our exploitation and subjugation, and the ecocide of our environment.
I want to tell you that together we must and will bring forward the alternative to the death and destruction global capital has inflicted on the world.
Gaza was the wake-up call. So was Lebanon, Sudan, and Congo. The heavy price paid by our comrades in these nations is a debt we must honour.
The intifada started in Palestine, but now it must go Global. Together we must fight the colonisation and destruction of our lives by the global elites.
