2024년 6월 서울대 당국은 인종학살·전범 국가 이스라엘을 미화하는 “이스라엘 교육연구센터”를 개소했습니다. 이 센터는 주한 이스라엘 대사관이 공식 참여하고 있으며, 기독교 시온주의 단체로부터 자금을 지원받고 있습니다.
서울대학교의 명망을 이용해 이스라엘의 이미지를 세탁하는 것이 이 센터의 진정한 목적입니다. 이런 센터가 서울대에 자리 잡는 것을 좌시할 수 없기에 서울대 수박, 서울대 민주동문회, 대학노조 서울대지부가 힘을 모았습니다.

📌 SNU Soobak, the SNU Democratic Alumni Association, and the SNU Branch of Korean University Workers’ Union are launching a Petition to Shut Down the Israel Education Research Center at SNU!
We stand in solidarity with the students and members of the university community. We hope many more people will support and amplify this campaign!🇵🇸

In June 2024, the SNU administration opened the “Israel Education Research Center”—a center that glorifies the genocidal and colonial entity ‘Israel’. The center involves the official participation of the Israeli Embassy and receives funding from a Christian Zionist organization.
The true purpose of this center is to whitewash Israel’s image by exploiting SNU’s prestige. We cannot allow such a center to exist on SNU’s campus.
SNU Soobak, the SNU Democratic Alumni Association, and the SNU Branch of Korean University Workers’ Union are holding a press conference to launch a petition calling for the closure of the Israel Education Research Center.
