💡 얼마 전 이스라엘 외무부는 이재명 대통령이 이스라엘을 비판한 것에 대해 “홀로코스트 추모일을 앞두고 유대인 학살을 경시하는 발언을 했다”고 비난했습니다.

💧 홀로코스트는 나치 독일이 유대인들을 대상으로 자행한 대규모 인종학살을 의미합니다. 그 끔찍한 역사는 인류의 역사에서 절대 반복돼선 안 될 역사로 기억되며 수많은 사람들이 기리고 있습니다.

🙅🏻‍♀️ 그런데, 지금 팔레스타인에서 벌어지는 일은 제2의 홀로코스트와 다를 바 없습니다. 이스라엘은 팔레스타인인들의 땅과 삶을 빼앗으며 점령했고, 엄청난 인종 학살이 벌어지고 있습니다.

💡 Recently, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized Lee Jae-myung for his remarks condemning Israel, claiming that he had “made statements that trivialize the Holocaust ahead of Holocaust Remembrance Day.”

💧 The Holocaust refers to the large-scale genocide carried out by Nazi Germany against Jewish people. This atrocity is remembered as a history that must never be repeated, and is commemorated by people around the world.

🙅🏻‍♀️ Yet what is happening in Palestine today is no different from a second Holocaust. Israel has occupied Palestinian land and lives, dispossessing people and carrying out a massive campaign of violence and genocide.

☑️ Jewish historian Ilan Pappe points out that during the founding of Israel, ethnic cleansing of Palestinians took place, and that Zionism functioned as a project aimed at establishing a system of Jewish supremacy and segregation.
