🩸 The Lee Jae-myung government of South Korea is reportedly considering participation in Trump’s Gaza “Board of Peace.”
This body is nothing less than a colonial rule organisation that seeks to have foreign powers—not Palestinians—govern and administer Gaza, which is Palestinian territory.
It is a body that even war criminal Netanyahu, who has massacred Palestinians and repeatedly violated ceasefire agreements, has announced his intention to join.
🏴 Participation in such a colonial rule body means directly taking part in the colonial occupation of Gaza.
The Gaza “Board of Peace” is chaired by Trump, a co-perpetrator of the genocide, and is tasked with overseeing the stationing of foreign troops in Gaza as well as the disarmament of Palestinian resistance forces.
It is reminiscent of a colonial Governor-General’s Office under Japanese rule.
⚠️ Rather than halting cooperation with Israel, the Lee Jae-myung government has expanded it.
It has continued and strengthened exchanges and cooperation across multiple areas, including security, weapons, the economy, and academia.
Last November, it even cast a vote in favour of Trump’s “Peace Plan” at the UN Security Council.
