트럼프, 팔레스타인에서 손 떼라!
오늘은 미국 대통령 도널드 트럼프의 취임 1년이 되는 날이다. 이 한 해는 인종학살 공범이 세계 곳곳의 정의와 평화를 파괴해 온 시간이었다.
트럼프의 손에는 팔레스타인인들의 피가 묻어 있다. 네타냐후가 “역대 최고의 미국 대통령”이라고 부르는 트럼프는 이스라엘의 가자지구 인종학살과 파괴를 전폭적으로 지원해 왔다. 미국 정부가 지원한 무기와 외교적 비호가 없었다면 이스라엘은 그 야만성을 그 정도까지 드러낼 수 없었을 것이다.
트럼프는 이제 “평화위원회”라는 명목으로 가자지구를 이스라엘과 함께 통치하려 한다. 이른바 전후 가자지구 통치를 맡을 평화위원회에는 이라크전 전범인 영국 전 총리 토니 블레어, 미 국무장관 마코 루비오 등이 포함돼 있다. 팔레스타인 땅의 미래는 오직 팔레스타인인들의 손으로 이뤄져야 한다.
트럼프는 입으로는 “자유”와 “인권”, “민주주의”를 떠든다. 그러나 미국의 이해관계 앞에서 이런 가치들을 거추장스럽게 여기며, 어떤 민족의 자결권도 휴지조각처럼 취급한다. 트럼프는 베네수엘라를 공습하고 대통령 부부를 납치한 데 이어, 이제 그린란드까지 위협하고 있다. 그뿐인가? 미국 국내에서는 이주민들을 사냥하듯 추방하고, 이에 반대하는 운동을 탄압하고 있다.
하지만 트럼프는 평범한 미국인들은 물론 전 세계 곳곳에서 저항과 항의에 직면해 있다. 미국 미니애폴리스에서 벌어진 끔찍한 국가 폭력 이후 미국 전역에서 항의 시위가 터져 나온 것처럼, 트럼프의 전쟁 행위와 팔레스타인 인종학살 지원에 대해 전 세계 민중은 침묵하지 않고 있다.
‘팔레스타인인들과 연대하는 사람들’은 한국에서 흔들림 없이 미국 정부의 이스라엘 지원에 맞서 항의하며 트럼프에 맞선 민중들과 한목소리를 내 왔다. 우리는 그 어떤 학살 공모 행위도 용납하지 않을 것이다.

Trump, Keep Your Hands Off Palestine
Today marks one year since Donald Trump took office as President of the United States. This past year has shown how Trump, an accomplice to genocide, has undermined justice and peace across the globe.
Palestinian blood is on Trump’s hands. Trump—whom Netanyahu has called “the greatest American president ever”—has fully supported Israel’s genocide and destruction in the Gaza Strip. Without U.S.-supplied weapons and diplomatic cover, Israel could not have carried out such barbarism on this scale.
Trump now seeks to govern Gaza alongside Israel under the guise of a so-called “board of peace.” This post-war Gaza governance body reportedly includes figures such as former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, a war criminal who destroyed Iraq, and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The future of Palestinian land must be determined solely by the Palestinian people.
Trump pays lip service to “freedom,” “human rights,” and “democracy.” Yet when these values conflict with American interests, he discards them without hesitation, treating nations’ right to self-determination as disposable. After threatening to bomb Venezuela and abduct its president and his wife, Trump has now turned his threats toward Greenland. Moreover, at home, he hunts down immigrants for deportation and suppresses movements that resist these policies.
Yet Trump faces resistance not only from ordinary Americans but from people around the world. Just as mass protests erupted across the United States following the horrific state violence in Minneapolis, people globally have refused to remain silent in the face of Trump’s war crimes and his support for the genocide of Palestinians.
‘People in Solidarity with Palestinians’ in Korea have consistently protested against the U.S. government’s support for Israel, standing together with all those who resist Trump’s crimes. We will not tolerate any complicity in genocide.
