11월 28일과 29일 총파업이 벌어집니다. 저는 팔레스타인을 위해, 그리고 우리 모두를 위해 참가할 것입니다. 왜냐하면 팔레스타인에서는 소위 ‘휴전’ 이후에도 가자 인종학살이 계속되고 있기 때문입니다. 이스라엘은 230명 이상의 팔레스타인인을 살해했고 그 중 70명이 어린이이며, 2백만 명의 무고한 사람들이 집과 식량, 미래를 잃었습니다.
서안 지구에서는 정착민과 군인들이 계속해서 사람들을 쫓아내고, 구타하며, 집과 가축, 올리브 나무를 불태우지만 처벌을 받지 않습니다.
이것은 평화가 아닙니다. 평화가 있으려면 정의가 있어야 합니다.
국가들은 이스라엘과의 교역을 중단해야 합니다. 기업들은 투자를 철회해야 합니다. 시민들은 이스라엘에서 생산된 상품 구매를 중단해야 합니다.
보십시오, 팔레스타인은 불의가 체계화될 때 벌어지는 극단적 사례입니다: 규범이 유린되고, 불안정성이 증가하며, 만연한 빈곤이 확산되고, 정의를 요구하는 이들에게 폭력이 가해집니다.
이는 유럽에서도, 이탈리아에서도 일어나고 있습니다—학생들에게, 노동자들에게, 이민자들에게, 단순히 다르다는 이유로 차별받는 이들에게.
그렇기에 우리는 그 어느 때보다 단결해야 합니다. 하나의 운동이 되어야 합니다. 윤리와 정의의 필요성을 인식하고, 법이 ‘어느 정도’가 아닌 끝까지 집행되도록 요구하는 사람들이 돼야 합니다.
우리는 선단(자유 선단 연합)이 촉발한 그 힘을 이어가야 합니다. 9월 22일과 그 후 몇 주 동안 수백만 이탈리아인을 거리로 이끌었던 그 힘 말이죠.
해외에서도 우리 이탈리아인들의 모습을 지켜보고 있습니다. 그들은 우리를 존중하고 있습니다. 우리는 모범을 보이고 있습니다.
그러니 지금 멈출 수 없습니다.
거리로 나서십시오. 타인을 위해서도, 그리고 당신 자신을 위해서도 행동하십시오.
정의를 위해 모이는 것은 자유를 되찾는 길이며, 단결하면 우리는 해낼 수 있습니다.

Because in Palestine the genocide continues in Gaza after the so-called “ceasefire”. Israel has killed over 230 Palestinians, 70 children, and 2 million innocent people have been left homeless, without food and without a future.
In the West Bank, settlers and soldiers continue to displace, beat, and burn houses, livestock, and olive trees with complete impunity.
This is not peace. For there to be peace, there must be justice.
States must stop trading with Israel. Companies must divest. Citizens must stop purchasing goods produced in Israel.
You see, Palestine is an extreme case of what happens when injustice becomes systemic: as norms are abused, precariousness increases, rampant poverty rises, and violence is inflicted on those who dare to ask for justice.
It is also happening in Europe, in Italy— to students, to workers, to immigrants, to those who are simply different.
That’s why we need to be united now more than ever, to be a movement of one: people who recognize the need for ethics and justice, and who call for the law to be enforced until the end, not “up to some point.”
We must continue what the flotilla ignited— that force that on September 22 and in the following weeks brought millions of Italians into the streets.
Abroad, people have seen us Italians; they are respecting us. We are setting an example.
So we can’t stop now.
Take to the streets. Do it for others, but do it for yourself too.
Gathering around justice means regaining freedom, and united we can.
