팔레스타인 가자지구의 영상기자 모하메드 사와프, 살라 알 하우, 이브라힘 알 오틀라, 마르완 알 사와프는 2023년 10월 시작된 참혹한 학살(genocide) 속에서도 인간의 용기와 공동체의 연대를 카메라에 담았습니다. 알자지라 TV 프로그램 〈목격자〉에 방영된 〈가자로부터 온 목소리〉는 학살의 참상을 넘어선 삶의 기록입니다.
취재 중 가족 47명을 잃고도 촬영을 이어가던 마르완 알 사와프 기자는 결국 이스라엘군의 공격으로 숨졌습니다. 그의 희생은 진실을 알리려는 언론의 사명을 깊이 일깨웁니다.
이번 상영은 어라이즈 아트 스페이스와 팔레스타인인들과 연대하는 사람들(부산)이 주최합니다. 상영 후에는 부산지역 팔레스타인 연대 활동가와 함께 나누는 대화가 이어집니다.

Four Palestinian video journalists — Mohammed Sawwaf, Salah Al Haw, Ibrahim Al Otla, and Marwan Al-Sawaf — captured life and resistance in Gaza amidst the devastating genocide that began in October 2023. Through Al Jazeera Witness, their documentary Voices from Gaza bears witness to courage, community, and humanity under siege.
Tragically, journalist Marwan Al-Sawaf was killed while filming, after losing 47 family members in an Israeli airstrike. His story reminds us of the power and cost of truth.
This screening is hosted by Arise Art Space & People in Solidarity with Palestinians, a Busan-based activist group working to end the genocide and support Palestinian freedom.
