‘ 자유 선단 연합(Freedom Flotilla Coalition)’ 소속 매들린 호가 지난 1일 이탈리아에서 출항해 가자지구로 향했습니다.

구호품을 실은 매들린 호에는 스웨덴 출신의 기후 활동가 그레타 툰베리, 배우 리엄 커닝엄, 팔레스타인계 프랑스인 리마 하산 유럽의회 의원 등 12명이 탑승했습니다.

활동가들은 이 행동이 구호품 전달만이 아니라, 봉쇄 해제와 인종 학살 중단을 요구하는 행동이라고 밝혔습니다.

이스라엘은 이 배의 가자지구 진입을 막기 위해 ‘행동할 준비가 됐다’고 밝혔습니다. 이스라엘은 이전에도 가자지구에 해상 접근하려는 배를 향해 발포해 활동가들을 살해한 바 있습니다.

’ 팔레스타인인들과 연대하는 사람들‘은 ’자유 선단 연합‘을 지지하며, 이스라엘의 가자 봉쇄 해제를 요구합니다.

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition’s ship Madleen set sail from Italy on June 1, en route to Gaza.

The ship was carrying 12 people, including Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, actor Liam Cunningham, and Palestinian-French MEP Rima Hassan.

Activists say the action is not just about delivering aid, but about demanding an end to the siege and an end to the genocide.

Israel has stated that it is prepared to ‘act accordingly’ to prevent the ship‘s arrival. Israel has previously fired on ships attempting to approach Gaza by sea, killing activists.
