이스라엘은 인종 학살 멈춰라!
팔레스타인인들과 연대를!
지난해 10월 7일 하마스의 기습 공격 이후, 이스라엘-팔레스타인 전쟁이 3개월 넘게 벌어지고 있다.
이스라엘은 가자지구를 침공해 무자비한 인종 학살을 자행하는 중이다. 현재까지 최소 2만 3000명 이상을 살해했고, 가자지구 북부에서 건축물 3분의 2를 파괴했다. 가자 인구 85퍼센트가 피란민이 됐다.
이스라엘 네타냐후 정권은 학살과 파괴로 인종 청소를 해내겠다는 의도를 드러냈다. 팔레스타인 사람들을 “인간 짐승”이라 부르는 등 노골적인 인종차별도 서슴지 않는다. 서안지구에서도 이스라엘 군대와 시온주의 정착자들의 공격이 확대되고 있다.
이스라엘의 학살에 대한 규탄 여론이 커졌지만, 미국을 비롯한 서방 정부들은 이스라엘을 계속 지원하고 있다. 그들이 이스라엘에 준 폭탄이 팔레스타인 사람들 머리 위로 떨어지고 있는 것이다.
그러나 지난 76년 동안 팔레스타인인들은 저항을포기하지 않았고, 지금 이 순간에도 싸우고 있다.
10월 7일 이후 이스라엘은 엄청난 살육과 파괴를 저질렀음에도 여태껏 저항을 꺾지 못하고 있다. 하마스를 비롯한 저항 세력들은 가자지구에서 이스라엘군과 계속 싸우고 있다. 서안지구에서도 탄압에 굴하지 않고 저항이 지속되고 있다.
또한 국제적으로 팔레스타인 연대 운동이 부상했다. 여러 나라에서 전례 없이 수많은 사람들이 팔레스타인인들의 대의에 공감해 거리로 나오고 있는 것이다. 한국에서도 팔레스타인인들을 포함해 많은 내외국인들이 매주 모여 연대 목소리를 내 왔다.
오늘 1.13 국제 행동의 날에도 서울, 미국 워싱턴, 영국 런던, 요르단 암만 등 전 세계 최소 36개국 66개 도시에서 시위가 열린다.
팔레스타인 땅에 진정한 정의와 평화를 실현시킬 희망은 팔레스타인인들 자신의 저항과 국제 팔레스타인 연대 운동에 있다.
국제 연대 운동의 일부로서, 우리는 한국에서도 이스라엘의 인종 학살에 맞서 팔레스타인인들과의 연대를 확대하기 위해 노력할 것이다.
또한 “요르단강에서 지중해까지” 팔레스타인이 해방되는 그날까지 팔레스타인인들과 함께할 것임을 다짐한다.

Solidarity with Palestinians!
Since the attack by Hamas on October 7 last year, the Israel-Palestine war has been going on for over three months.
Israel has invaded the Gaza Strip and is committing merciless genocide. Until now, Israel killed at least 23,000 people and destroyed two-thirds of the buildings in the northern Gaza Strip. 85% of the Gazan population has been displaced.
The prime minister of Israel, Binyamin Netanyahu, and his government revealed their intention to carry out ethnic cleansing through massacre and destruction. Outright racism flows through them, such as calling Palestinians “human animals.” Attacks by Israeli troops and Zionist settlers are also growing in the West Bank.
Although Israel’s actions are causing outrage around the world, Western powers, including the United States, continue to support Israel. The bombs they gave to Israel fall on the heads of Palestinians.
However, over the past 76 years, Palestinians have not given up and continue to fight at this very moment.
Since October 7, Israel has not been able to defeat Palestinian resistance even though it has committed enormous slaughter and destruction. Palestinian resistance groups, including Hamas, continue to fight Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip. In the West Bank, resistance continues without giving in to repression.
And the global Palestinian solidarity movement has emerged. In many countries, unprecedented numbers of people are taking to the streets in solidarity with the Palestinian cause. In South Korea, many Koreans and foreigners, including Palestinians, have been protesting with solidarity every week.
Today, on 1.13 Global Day of Action, there are protests in more than 67 cities in at least 36 countries across 6 continents, such as Seoul, Washington, D.C., London, and the city of Amman in Jordan.
The hope for true justice and peace for Palestine lies in the resistance of the Palestinian people and the global Palestine solidarity movement.
As part of this global movement of solidarity, in Korea we will do our best to build solidarity with Palestinians against Israeli genocide as well.
And we pledge to stand with Palestinians until the day Palestine is liberated “from the River to the Sea.”
