이 새는 무슨 새이며 왜 사용되었나요?
이 새는 제비입니다. 제비가 팔레스타인만의 고유한 상징은 아니지만, 자유와 귀환, 희망을 상징하기 때문에 이러한 맥락에서 사용되었습니다.
요르단강에서 지중해까지, 팔레스타인은 자유로워지리라. 이 구호는 전 세계 시위 참가자들이 외치는 매우 유명한 구호로, 요르단강에서 지중해에 이르는 역사적 팔레스타인 땅 전체에 대한 점령의 종식을 촉구하는 의미를 담고 있습니다. 이 구호는 서방 정부들과 이스라엘 모두에 의해 논란의 여지가 있는 구호이자 증오를 선동하는 구호, 나아가 반유대주의적 구호로 규정되어 왔습니다. 이 구호를 금지하고 이를 사용하는 사람들을 처벌하려는 시도가 여러 차례 있었지만, 그 모든 시도에도 불구하고 이 구호를 지워 버리지는 못했습니다.

What bird this is and why it was used
Though they’re not specifically a Palestinian symbol, swallows symbolise freedom, return and hope, hence the choice to use them in this context.
From the river to the sea Palestine will be free
This is a very famous slogan used by demonstrators all over the world calling for an end to the occupation from the Jordan river to the Mediterranean Sea, encompassing the whole of historical Palestine. It has been deemed controversial, a hate inciting chant and of course antisemitic, both by western governments and israel alike. There have been multiple attempts to ban it and punish those who use it, despite it all though, they have not been able to erase it.
