안녕하세요, 여러분.
저는 두하입니다. 저를 아시는 분들도 계시겠지만, 처음 들으시는 분들을 위해 소개드리자면 저는 팔레스타인 라말라에 살고 있으며 팔레스타인 외교부에서 일하고 있습니다.
오늘 저는 통계나 정치에 대해 이야기하고 싶지 않습니다. 사람들에 대해 이야기하고 싶습니다.
가자에서는 지금도 사람들이 계속해서 목숨을 잃고 있습니다. 매일 가족들이 사라지고, 아이들이 묻히고, 공동체 전체가 흔적도 없이 사라지고 있습니다. 하지만 설령 내일 당장 폭격이 멈춘다 하더라도, 가자는 이미 몇 세대에 걸쳐서야 겨우 회복할 수 있을 만큼 깊은 상처를 입었습니다. 대학과 학교, 일터와 문화시설, 모든 것이 파괴되었습니다. 하나의 사회가 날마다, 조금씩 지워지고 있습니다. 가자는 단지 사람들의 생명만을 잃고 있는 것이 아닙니다. 삶을 가능하게 하는 토대 자체를 잃어가고 있습니다.
서안지구에서 우리가 겪는 어려움은 또 다른 모습입니다. 이동은 끊임없이 제한되고, 우리는 직장에 가기 위해서도 고군분투해야 합니다. 임금도, 안전도 보장되지 않습니다. 정착민들은 우리의 집과 마을을 공격하고 있으며, 이것은 이제 우리의 일상이 되었습니다.
세계 난민의 날을 맞아, 저는 디아스포라에 있는 팔레스타인 가족 친구들도 떠올립니다. 그들 중 많은 이들은 한 번도 자신의 눈으로 팔레스타인을 본 적이 없습니다. 그들은 저에게 우리의 도시가 어떤 모습인지, 우리 조부모들이 강제로 떠나야 했던 마을의 거리를 걷는다는 것은 어떤 느낌인지 묻곤 합니다. 우리는 그들이 결코 고향으로 돌아갈 수 없게 될지도 모른다는 사실을 알고 있습니다. 귀환권은 추상적인 정치적 요구가 아닙니다. 그것은 집으로 돌아갈 권리입니다.
여러분의 연대는 큰 힘이 됩니다. 여러분의 연대는 우리가 혼자가 아니라는 사실을 일깨워 줍니다. 부디 계속해서 목소리를 내어 주시고, 다른 이들에게 알려 주시고, 정의와 인간의 존엄을 위해 함께해 주십시오. 제가 한국을 방문했을 때 여러분이 보여 주신 진심 어린 관심과 연대는 저에게 마치 집에 온 것 같은 따뜻함을 느끼게 해주었습니다.
팔레스타인에서 한국으로, 세계를 향한 우리의 목소리가 되어 주셔서 감사합니다. 희망의 불씨를 지켜 주셔서 감사합니다. 부디 우리를 잊지 말아 주세요. 우리는 여러분이 필요합니다.

Hello everyone,
This is Duha, some of you might know me, but for those who don’t My name is Duha. I am a Palestinian living in Ramallah and working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and expatriates.
Today, I don’t want to speak not about statistics or politics, I want to speak about people.
People in Gaza, are still being killed continuously. Every day, families are lost, children are buried, and entire communities disappear. But even if the bombs stopped tomorrow, Gaza has already been devastated in ways that will take generations to heal. Universities, schools, workplaces, cultural centers, everything have been destroyed. A society is being erased piece by piece and day by day. Gaza is not only losing lives; it is losing the foundations of life itself.
In the West Bank, we face different hardships. Movement is restricted, we struggle to reach work, there is no salaries, no safety. Settler attack our homes and neighborhoods which is now our daily reality.
On World Refugee Day, I also think of my Palestinian friends in the diaspora. They have never seen Palestine with their own eyes. They ask me what our cities look like, or how it feels like to walk through the streets or the villages our grandparents were forced to leave. We know they may never be allowed to return. The Right of Return is not an abstract political demand. It is the right to go home.
Your solidarity matters. It reminds us that we are not alone. Please continue to speak out, to educate others, and to stand for justice and human dignity. Your genuine care made me feel home during my visit!
From Palestine to Korea, thank you for being our voices to the world. Thank you for keeping hope alive. Please don’t forget about us we need you.
