이스라엘이 레바논에서 잔혹한 침공과 공격을 벌이고 있는 상황에서, 레바논인 학자∙활동가 라니아 하페즈 님이 한국의 ‘팔레스타인인들과 연대하는 사람들’에 연대의 글을 보내왔습니다. 이 글은 2026년 4월 18일 서울, 4월 19일 부산과 대구에서 열린 집회에서 소개되었습니다.
친애하는 친구들과 동지 여러분,
나의 아름다운 조국 레바논은 또다시 시오니스트 이스라엘 국가의 잔혹한 침공과 살인적인 공격을 겪고 있습니다.
이번 공격은 새로운 일이 아닙니다. 이는 이 국가가 수립된 이후 벌어진 일곱 번째 레바논 침공입니다.
2024년 9월 이후, 주류 언론과 국제 사회의 방관과 침묵 속에서 이스라엘은 레바논에 대한 공격을 멈추지 않고 있습니다. 최근의 공격은 특히나 잔혹하여 2,100명 이상의 민간인이 목숨을 잃고 수천 명이 부상을 입었으며, 100만 명 이상의 레바논인들이 100만 명이 넘는 레바논 사람들이 집을 잃고 피난민이 되었습니다.
3월 2일 이후로 이스라엘은 의료 시설에 133차례 이상의 공격을 감행했고, 적십자 구급차와 구조대원들을 표적으로 삼았습니다. 여기에는 한 기독교 신부와 그의 교인들도 포함되어 있었습니다. 또한 교회와 모스크, 병원, 학교를 포함해 1,400채 이상의 건물을 파괴했습니다. 그뿐 아니라 레바논 남부의 마을들을 통째로 말살시키고 토양마저 오염시켰습니다. 이처럼 도시와 마을을 체계적으로 파괴하고 말살하는 행위는 이스라엘이 마땅히 책임져야 할 전쟁 범죄이자 반인도적 범죄입니다.
이스라엘의 야만적인 행위는, 이스라엘 국방장관이 “가자 모델”에 따라 레바논 주택 파괴를 “가속화하라”고 군에 명령하고, 이스라엘 재무장관이 레바논 영토 안쪽 30km에 위치한 리타니강을 “이스라엘의 새로운 국경으로 삼아야 한다”고 선언한 이후 벌어졌습니다. 이것이 바로 시오니스트 국가의 목적입니다. 남부 레바논 주민들을 인종적으로 축출하고 가능한 한 많은 땅을 빼앗는 것입니다.
이것은 명백한 전쟁 범죄이며, 이스라엘 정권은 이를 공공연히 자랑하고 있습니다. 이러한 범죄는 시오니스트 전쟁 기계를 자금으로 지원해 온 서방 정부들과, 침묵하거나 공개적으로 이스라엘 정권을 지지하는 아랍 정권들의 공모와 방조 속에서 이루어지고 있습니다.
내 나라에 벌어지고 있는 일은 나의 가슴을 무너뜨립니다. 조국의 파괴와 동포들의 고통을 막을 수 없다는 사실에 무력감과 절망을 느낍니다. 그러나 베이루트에서 8,000킬로미터 떨어진 서울에서 용감한 동지들이 우리를 위해 시위를 하고 있다는 사실이 나에게 큰 위로가 됩니다.
저는 레바논과 팔레스타인 민중의 정의와 자유를 위해 행진하는 여러분과 마음으로 함께하고 있습니다. 여러분의 굳건함과 사랑, 그리고 연대에 진심으로 감사드립니다.
간절히 바라건대, 다음 달 서울에서 여러분을 직접 만나 감사의 인사를 전하고, 함께 행진할 수 있기를 기대합니다.

Dear friends and comrades
My beautiful homeland Lebanon is yet again experiencing a brutal invasion and murderous attacks by the terrorist zionist state israel.
This recent attack is not new. This is israel’s 7th invasion of Lebanon since the creation of the terrorist state.
Since September 2024 israel has not stopped attacking Lebanon to the silence of most of mainstream media and the global community. The most recent attacks have been especially brutal, with over 2100 civilians killed, thousands more injured, and over 1 million Lebanese displaced and homeless.
Since the 2nd March israel has carried out over 133 attacks on medical facilities, targeted red cross ambulances and first responders, including a Christian priest and his congregation, and destroyed more than 1,400 buildings including churches, mosques, hospitals and schools. It has also erased whole villages in the South of Lebanon and poisoned the soil. The systematic demolition and erasure of these towns and villages is a war crime and a crime against humanity that israel should be held accountable for.
Israel’s barbaric actions come after the Israeli defence minister ordered the IOF to “accelerate the destruction of Lebanese homes” based on the “model in Gaza” and the israeli finance minister declared that the Litani River which is 30km inside Lebanon, must be “the new Israeli border”. This is the aim of the Zionist terrorist state, to ethnically cleanse South Lebanon from its people and grab as much land as it can. These are blatant war crimes that the Israeli regime boasts about committing, aided and abetted by Western governments that have funded the Zionist war machine, and Arab regimes who traitors to their people, and either keep silent, or publicly endorse the Israeli regime.
What is being done to my country breaks my heart. I feel powerless and helpless to stop the destruction of my homeland and the suffering of my compatriots. But it comforts me that 8000 kilometres from Beirut, brave comrades in Seoul are demonstrating for us. I am with you in spirit bas you march for justice and liberty for the people of Lebanon and Palestine. Thank you sincerely for your steadfastness, your love, and your solidarity. I look forward to thanking you in person and marching with you when I am in Seoul next month insha’Allah.
