Statement of the 10.6 International Day of Action
It has been one year since Israel launched its brutal genocide in Gaza. For one year, not a single day has passed without Israel’s killings and destruction, leaving over 40,000 Palestinians dead and hundreds of thousands injured. Gaza, with its population of 2.3 million, has been reduced to ruins. Hunger and disease are rampant, and all social infrastructure has been decimated. Even now, Israel is preventing aid from entering and indiscriminately bombing schools and hospitals. Education for children and youth — who make up half the population — has been completely halted for a year. Israel is destroying Palestinian’s lives, dreams, and future.
Israel’s barbarity is extending beyond Gaza and the West Bank and into Lebanon. By attacking Lebanon, Israel is trying to pull the United States and the West into a broader war. This is why, even if Hezbollah were to surrender tomorrow, Israel’s atrocities would not stop.
Israel’s escalation of the war will lead to more tragedy and disaster in the Middle East. Israel is the real ‘terrorist.’
For one year, Western governments have spoken of ‘deep concern’ and ‘ceasefires,’ yet they have steadfastly supported Israel’s genocide by funding and arming it.
However, Israel has not achieved its stated goals. It may have been able to demolish Palestinian buildings, but it has not broken Palestinian resistance or their will for liberation. Now, there is also resistance against Israel in Lebanon.
The resilience and courage of the Palestinian people in the face of colonialism, genocide, injustice, and barbarism have generated a global wave of solidarity. The struggle of university students in the United States, who stood up against complicity in genocide, has further amplified the tide of solidarity.
Now, marking one year since the start of Israel’s genocide in Gaza, international solidarity protests against Israel are taking place in the United States, the United Kingdom, and other parts of the world.
As part of this international movement, rallies and marches have been held in Korea for the past year. Since the first rally on 11 October last year, People in Solidarity with Palestinians has brought together Korean organizations, Palestinians, Arabs, migrants, and international students of various nationalities to stand in solidarity with Palestine against Israel’s genocide.
We know that justice and history are on the side of the Palestinians. Israel will never win.
We gather here today to demand an end to Israel’s genocide, an end to the escalation of the war, and to support the resistance of the Palestinian and Arab peoples. In the days ahead, we will do everything in our power to mobilize voices for resistance and solidarity against Israel and the governments that support its war crimes. We will stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people until there is a just peace in Palestine “from the River to the Sea.”

بيان يوم الحراك العالمي
لقد مر عام منذ أن شنت إسرائيل مجازرها الوحشية في غزة. لم يمر يوم واحد على مدار عام كامل دون أن ترتكب إسرائيل أعمال القتل والتدمير التي خلفت أكثر من 40,000 شهيد ومئات الآلاف من الجرحى. لقد تحولت غزة، التي يبلغ عدد سكانها 2.3 مليون نسمة، إلى أنقاض. تفشى الجوع والمرض، وتم تدمير جميع البنى التحتية الاجتماعية. وحتى الآن، تمنع إسرائيل دخول المساعدات وتقصف المدارس والمستشفيات بشكل عشوائي. كما أن تعليم الأطفال والشباب – الذين يشكلون نصف السكان – متوقف تماماً منذ عام. إسرائيل تدمر حياة الفلسطينيين وأحلامهم ومستقبلهم.
وتتجاوز همجية إسرائيل حدود غزة والضفة الغربية إلى لبنان. ومن خلال العدوان على لبنان، تحاول إسرائيل جر الولايات المتحدة والغرب إلى حرب أوسع نطاقًا. ولهذا السبب، حتى لو استسلم حزب الله غدًا، فإن فظائع إسرائيل لن تتوقف.
إن تصعيد إسرائيل للحرب سيؤدي إلى مزيد من المآسي والكوارث في الشرق الأوسط. إسرائيل هي “الإرهابية” الحقيقية.
لقد تحدثت الحكومات الغربية على مدار عام كامل عن “القلق العميق” و”وقف إطلاق النار”، ومع ذلك فقد دعمت بثبات الإبادة الجماعية التي ترتكبها إسرائيل من خلال تمويلها وتسليحها.
ومع ذلك، لم تحقق إسرائيل أهدافها المعلنة. ربما تكون قد تمكنت من هدم المباني الفلسطينية، ولكنها لم تكسر مقاومة الفلسطينيين أو إرادتهم في التحرير. والآن، هناك أيضًا مقاومة ضد إسرائيل في لبنان.
لقد ولّد صمود الشعب الفلسطيني وشجاعته في مواجهة الاستعمار والإبادة الجماعية والظلم والهمجية موجة عالمية من التضامن. كما أن نضال طلاب الجامعات في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، الذين وقفوا ضد التواطؤ في الإبادة الجماعية، زاد من موجة التضامن.
والآن، وبمناسبة مرور عام على بدء الإبادة الجماعية الإسرائيلية في غزة، تشهد الولايات المتحدة والمملكة المتحدة وأجزاء أخرى من العالم احتجاجات تضامنية دولية ضد إسرائيل.
وكجزء من هذه الحركة الدولية، نُظمت وفقات ومسيرات في كوريا خلال العام الماضي. منذ المسيرة الأولى في 11 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر من العام الماضي، جمعت تنسيقية “متضامنون مع الشعب الفلسطيني” المنظمات الكورية والفلسطينيين والعرب والمهاجرين والطلاب الدوليين من مختلف الجنسيات للتضامن مع فلسطين ضد الإبادة الجماعية التي ترتكبها إسرائيل.
نحن نعلم أن العدالة والتاريخ يقفان إلى جانب الشعب الفلسطيني. لن تنتصر إسرائيل أبداً.
نجتمع هنا اليوم لنطالب بإنهاء الإبادة الجماعية التي ترتكبها إسرائيل، ووضع حد لتصعيد الحرب، ودعم مقاومة الشعب الفلسطيني والشعوب العربية. في الأيام المقبلة، سنبذل كل ما في وسعنا لحشد الأصوات للمقاومة والتضامن ضد إسرائيل والحكومات التي تدعم جرائم الحرب التي ترتكبها. سنتضامن مع الشعب الفلسطيني حتى يتحقق السلام العادل في فلسطين “من النهر إلى البحر”.
