‘팔레스타인을 위한 국제행동의 날(Global Day for Palestine)’이 한국을 비롯해 미국, 영국, 호주, 브라질, 캐나다, 칠레, 콜롬비아, 크로아티아, 덴마크, 에콰도르, 프랑스, 독일, 그리스, 아일랜드, 멕시코, 네덜란드, 뉴질랜드, 나이지리아, 페루, 남아프리카공화국, 스페인 등에서 10월 10일~11일에 동시다발적으로 대규모로 열릴 예정입니다.
한국에서는 10월 11일 일요일 오후 2시 종각역 5번 출구에서 열립니다.

가자 지구의 참혹한 비극이 시작된 지 어느덧 3년이라는 세월이 흘렀습니다. 수많은 무고한 생명이 스러져가는 현실을 마주하며, 생명을 귀하게 여기는 신앙인이자 평화를 염원하는 한 사람으로서 깊은 슬픔과 참담함을 금할 길이 없습니다.
우는 자들과 함께 울고, 고통받는 이들의 곁에 서는 것이 우리가 걸어가야 할 마땅한 길이라 믿습니다. 그동안 노래로, 또 묵묵한 순례와 연대의 발걸음으로 아파하는 이들과 함께해왔던 것처럼, 지금 가자 지구에서 겪고 있는 팔레스타인 민중들의 눈물과 고통에도 마음을 다해 굳게 연대합니다.
하루속히 참혹한 학살이 멎고, 가자 지구에 참된 평화와 일상이 회복되기를 두 손 모아 간절히 기도합니다. 오는 10월 11일 국제공동행동의 날, 거리로 나서는 여러분의 간절한 외침과 행진의 발걸음에 저 역시 깊은 지지의 마음을 보내며 연대로 함께 하겠습니다.
끝나지 않는 고통 속에서도 꺾이지 않고 평화를 향해 목소리를 내어주셔서 고맙습니다. 진정한 평화가 깃드는 그날까지 한국 정부도, 한국사회도 전쟁반대를 위해 세계평화를 위해 무엇보다도 가자지구의 팔레스타인의 평화를 위해 함께 걷겠습니다.
The ‘Global Day for Palestine’ will take place simultaneously on a large scale on October 10–11 in South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Peru, South Africa, Spain, and many other countries.
In South Korea, the action will take place on Sunday, October 11 at 2 PM, at Exit 5 of Jonggak Station.

Since the horrific tragedy in Gaza began, three long years have already passed. Facing a reality in which countless innocent lives are being lost, as a believer who considers every life irreplaceable, and as someone who longs for peace, I cannot contain my deep sorrow and anguish.
To weep with those who weep, and to stand beside those who suffer. This, I believe, is the path we are called to walk. Just as I have stood with those in pain through songs, and through quiet, steadfast steps of pilgrimage and solidarity, so now, with the tears and suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza, I stand firmly in solidarity with all my heart.
That this horrific slaughter may end without any delay, and that true peace and everyday life may be restored to Gaza, I pray with folded hands and an earnest heart. On 11 October, the International Day of Action, to all of you taking to the streets, to your earnest cries and every step of your march, I too offer my deepest support, and I will be with you in solidarity.
Even in the midst of unending suffering, you have refused to be broken and have raised your voices for peace, and I thank you with all my heart. Until the day true peace comes to dwell, I will walk together with you, in the hope that the Korean government and Korean society, too, will stand against war, for peace in the world, and above all for peace for the Palestinians in Gaza.
