지난 9월 1일, 이스라엘의 잔혹한 기자 살해를 규탄하며 국경없는기자회를 비롯해 전 세계 70여 개국 270개 언론사가 화면을 검게 띄우는 국제적 공동 행동에 나섰습니다. 한국의 《시사IN》도 여기에 동참했는데요.
이번 호 《시사IN》에는 ’팔레스타인인들과 연대하는 사람들‘을 통해 가자지구 기자 무함마드 사이드 알카티브 의 절절한 인터뷰가 실렸습니다.

죽음의 위협 한가운데서도 멈추지 않고 진실을 기록하며 더 넓은 연대를 호소하는 그의 메시지는 집회 참가자들의 마음을 울렸습니다.

📰 SisaIN, a weekly current affairs magazine that aims to practice “journalism for a better world,” features “Remember Gaza” as its cover story this week.
On September 1, over 270 media outlets from more than 70 countries—including SisaIN in Korea—joined an international action initiated by Reporters Without Borders, displaying black screens in protest against Israel’s brutal killing of journalists.
📸 In this issue, SisaIN carries a deeply moving interview with Mohmmed Al-khatib a journalist from Gaza, shared through ‘People in Solidarity with Palestinians’.
📸 Reporting from the ground in Gaza, journalist Al-Khatib has been sending updates to ‘People in Solidarity with Palestinians’, linking the sites of solidarity in distant Korea with the reality in Gaza. His message—calling for broader solidarity while continuing to record the truth under constant threat of death—deeply resonated with participants in solidarity protests.
🇵🇸 In the SisaIN interview, Al-Khatib said:
“The work my colleagues and I do is always the target of deliberate attacks. Nevertheless, we will keep holding our cameras and telling the truth.”
