이스라엘은 의도된 기근과 구호품 전달을 무기로 사용하고 있습니다. 계속된 이스라엘의 가자지구 봉쇄로 인해 가자지구의 전 주민이 기아의 위험에 처해 있습니다.

세계적 비난이 거세지자, 이스라엘은 식량을 배급하기 시작했으나 “배가 침몰했는데 구명보트 하나만 전달된 상황”(지그리드 카그 유엔 중동평화프로세스 특별조정관 권한대행)이라 할 만큼 턱없이 부족한 수준입니다.

그마저도 기존의 유엔 기구가 아닌, 이스라엘과 미국이 주도한 ‘가자 인도주의 재단’(GHF)이 배급을 하고 있습니다. 이스라엘군은 구호물품을 미끼삼아 지원을 요청하고 있는 팔레스타인인들을 학살하기까지 했습니다. 이스라엘군이 배급을 위해 모여든 팔레스타인인들을 향해 발포해, 지난달 27일부터 최소 50여 명이 사망했습니다.

이스라엘은 ’굶주림‘으로 가자지구를 죽이고 있습니다. 굶주림도 학살입니다!

Israel is using intended famine and aid deliveries as a weapon. The ongoing Israeli blockade of Gaza has put the entire population of Gaza at risk of starvation.

In the face of global outcry, Israel has begun to distribute food, but it is so inadequate that ‘this is comparable to a lifeboat after the ship has sunk’ (Sigrid Kaag, UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process).

Even aids are being distributed by ‘Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’(GHF) which is led by the Israeli and US rather than by traditional UN agencies. Israeli forces have even used the aid as bait to massacre Palestinians seeking assistance. Israeli forces have opened fire on Palestinians gathering for distributions, killing at least 50 people since 27 November.

Israel is killing Gazans with starvation. Starvation is also genocide!
